Empowering Women and Supporting Communities

Bunzl North America hosted its annual "Inspiring Women In Bunzl" (IWIB) conference from August 5-7 in Denver, Colorado.

A key highlight of the conference was its dedication to making a positive impact on the community where it takes place. In a generous gesture of support, the women attending the conference collectively purchased and filled 150 backpacks with school supplies to help ensure that children have the essential supplies needed for a successful school year.

Debbie Pope, CEO of YWCA Boulder County, was then called upon to distribute this timely donation. YWCA Boulder County’s Community Engagement & Equity team of Clara Santos and Mireya Lujan quickly jumped in and delivered these backpacks to:

  • Persimmon Early Learning families: Providing high quality, affordable early childhood education for over 40 years.

  • El Centro Amistad: Offering vital services and resources to immigrant and refugee families.

  • A Precious Child: Supporting disadvantaged children and families with essential necessities.

By contributing to these local organizations, Bunzl North America’s IWIB conference attendees are extending their impact beyond the conference itself, reinforcing the spirit of giving and community support.
