YW+A Students Explore MSU Denver
Yesterday, the Young Women+ Achievement (YW+A) program took an exciting field trip to Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU). The group included 25 students from three different high schools: Broomfield, New Vista, and Centaurus.
This visit was an opportunity to broaden their perspectives on higher education, discover potential areas of study, and gain insight into the resources available to help them succeed.
Upon arrival, the students were welcomed to MSU’s downtown campus. Led by university representatives, the group participated in a bilingual tour. They explored key facilities, including academic buildings and student centers. They learned about different MSU programs, from engineering to theatre, and the history of the campus.
By the end of the tour, students left with a deeper understanding of college life and an expanded vision of their educational possibilities. The visit to MSU sparked excitement and motivation, inspiring students to explore their options with confidence and curiosity.
YW+A remains committed to supporting students in overcoming systemic barriers and bridging opportunity gaps, ensuring that experiences like this college tour continue to inspire and empower them to achieve their goals.
