STEM E3 Sessions Fill Quickly
Last month YWCA's STEM E3 program held two exciting and packed Jam Sessions for our middle school students, leaving them energized for a future in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM).
Sessions at Google in Boulder and Seagate Technology in Longmont included facility and lab tours, lab activities, lunch, and a panel with employees spanning topics such as career paths, study opportunities, internships.

YW+ A field trip brings students together
22 Young Women+ Achievement students and LAS students from three high schools went on their End of Year fieldtrip into Denver.

On 1/19/24, Reading to End Racism Volunteers read in 19 classrooms to a total of 388 students.
Building Connections and Community
Young Women+ Achievement (YW+A) students visit the Denver Botanic Gardens Blossoms of Light. The YW+A program brings local high schoolers together regularly to build community and a sense of belonging for student populations who, at times, may have felt isolated.

Volunteer Training at Mesa Elementary
We were so happy to have the first part of our Reading to End Racism volunteer orientation hosted by Mesa Elementary on November 29th. This orientation was opened to the public with parents from Mesa Elementary and other surrounding schools.

Medtronic Hosts STEM E3 Healthcare Technology Jam Session
In October, Medtronic hosted 23 middle schoolers for our STEM E3 Jam Session to tour parts of the Medtronic campus and participate in learning activities around different types of biomedical technology.
